Women’s Career Network warmly welcomes you to a case night with Centrum för rättvisa on the 4th of May, 16.00–18.00 (GMT+1).
Protecting civil rights and liberties is crucial to uphold democracy and the rule of law. Since its inception in 2002, Centrum för rättvisa has sought to do just that by representing individuals and organisations in court and by participating in the public debate. Today, Centrum för rättvisa is one of Sweden’s top law firms in the area of civil rights and liberties, and they engage in many Swedish high profile cases. Centrum för rättvisa has won 20 cases in the highest courts in Sweden and Europe, including ten cases in the Swedish Supreme Court.
During this virtual case night you will get to learn more about Centrum för rättvisa as an organisation, as well as about non-discrimination law in a European context. The attendees will be divided into two opposing teams that will argue against each other on basis of a fictional case modelled on a case currently pending before the European Court of Human Rights. Alexander Ottosson and Erica Wide, associate lawyers at Centrum för rättvisa, will moderate the case night.
